America's coolest city to live in..

According to Forbes, it is Houston, Texas.

If you Google "best part of living in Houston" not only does Google assume you're going to put in New York, LA, San Francisco, Boston and even Hong Kong before you spell out Houston, but it also brings up hundreds of message boards where people responded to this very question. It is alarming how quickly these conversation threads shift to "the worst part of living in Houston."

In fact, it is quite overwhelming for this New England loving girl to see comments like:
"Houston is as close to living in Hell as any place in the country."
"If you like to sweat all the time, this is the place to be."
"It's basically a hot, polluted, concrete-filled wasteland teeming with third-world "charm". But other things never change. The 'summers' are at least 6 months long (May-October), and the weather is nothing but oppressive. Either the days have high humidity, and it feels like living in a steam room, or it is drier, and you have ozone alerts. The only time you can comfortably do anything outside is from Nov. to April. The sheer size of the city is staggering, and it's very difficult and time consuming to get away from the city, and even then, there's very little away from the city that is worthwhile either, other than maybe Galveston..."

Yeah, so... there's that...
